Pursuant to the Gardena Municipal Code (GMC) Section 9.52.020, the permit application fee must accompany the application for the purpose of defraying costs of processing. The fee shall be the property of the City and shall be retained.

A permit can be issued for no more than 2 consecutive days.

Photo Upload

A max of 5 photos can be uploaded. Photos must be one of the photo data types: Jpeg, GIF or BMP. File size of each image cannot exceed 3mb

LIMITATIONS:

1. No more than four garage sales may be conducted by any person or persons upon the same property within the same calendar year
2. The permittee must be the resident of the property on which the garage sale is to take place
3. Garage sales shall only be held between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and shall not exceed two consecutive days
4. No person shall be entitled to receive payment in any form for allowing another person’s merchandise or belongings to be sold at his or her garage sale
5. Except for hand-made gift items, the items to be sold shall consist almost exclusively of used merchandise and belongings
6. Garage sales must be conducted within the garage, carport, front yard, back yard, or patio of the seller’s residence. No sale or display items for sale shall be permitted in the public right of way
7. No posting of signs permitted

I declare under penalty of perjury that the person(s) conducting the garage sale are not being paid in any manner by any other person(s) for use of the property on which the garage sale is taking place and that no more than three previous such garage sales have been held within the calendar year.
